Moving Publics: An In-Transit Conversation

The Theatre Centre – Cafe, 1115 Queen Street W, Toronto, Ontario

Come on board our neighborhood bus for curated conversations on the performance and politics of mobility – everything from public transportation to protest in public spaces. Part public dialogue, part collectively created site-specific installation, this project will invite participants to reflect on questions of access, assembly, and public choreography as we travel together along Queen West. Participants are asked to review the articles included here in advance. Special thanks to Canadian Theatre Review for granting access to their articles.
Bus departs from The Theatre Centre at 3:00 PM.

Our two hour bus ride will cover two topics, each led by two facilitators. We kindly ask participants to read the ”required readings” below for each topic. If time permits, please also look at the “recommended readings.”
